We here at North Coast Dance Party take time out today to think about and remember the sacrifices the families of the 9/11 tragedy had endured. To all those who lost someone special to them .....we will remember.

We are at it again!!  Murder is in the September air!  Clambake at Oberlin Inn on September 17th with a fun filled Jovialities Murder Mystery during and after dinner. Cocktails at 6:30, dinner at 7pm with show starting at 8pm.  If you have not quite gotten into the Fall mode yet, our end of summer PGA Golf show with two undeniably cracked golf pros, caddy and sports promoter provide some end of the summer fun and blood. YOU need to see this one. This is one golf outing you don't want to miss!  Tiger Woods? You just thought you heard it all....

Another singles dance well done !! This past Saturday September 10, was another evening of great music and planning done by Jackie Ma.  North Coast Dance Party was there to provide the FREE dance lesson before the dance.  This is not just a singles dance. We have couples, married and single coming out for an evening at St John's Byzantine church in Parma, on the corner of Snow Rd and Broadview Rd. Dance starts at 8pm until 12:00pm with free dance lesson at 7:15 with paid $7.00 admission.  DJ music, free dance lesson, cash bar and LARGE dance floor!  You can check out more of Jackie's dance on www.meetup.com. Chaz Bono is under the impression that "Dancing With the Stars" is a  dance
show, where, like the other contestants, he intends to dance.
And though to date he's done a lot of interviews and a documentary  about
transgender issues and his own transition, Bono said he doesn't  plan to use his
"DWTS" stint as any kind of soapbox.

"I'm going to be dancing. I'm not up there talking about anything other  than
dancing," Bono said Tuesday on "Good
Morning America."  "People who don't have gender  dysphoria aren't going to
catch it by  watching me dance on television."
He wants America to see "that I'm just a regular guy. All these ideas of,
'Children shouldn't watch me, I'm going to be confusing,' ... it's  crazy." That
said, "it would have made all the difference in the world  in my life" had he
seen a show like this, featuring someone like him,  when he was growing up as
Chastity Bono.

Chaz, born the daughter of Cher and the late Sonny Bono, started the gender
reassignment process in March 2009, legally becoming a man in May
2010.

Bono's inclusion in the cast has sparked criticism from various  corners plus
calls to boycott "DWTS." It also appears to have distracted folks from the
notion that producers considered pairing
"Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's" Carson Kressley with a male  dancer and the
fact that contestant Elisabetta Canalis shacked up out of wedlock with George
Clooney for years. Don't even get started on David
Arquette.

Incidentally, Bono will dance with pro Lacey Schwimmer, Kressley with Anna
Trebunskaya, Canalis with Val Chmerkovskiy (brother of Maks) and  Arquette with
Kym Johnson.

"One of the great things about the show is you can go into it with a 
preconception about a celebrity, and that often changes once you see  the  show
because you see a completely different side to them," exec  producer Conrad
Green said.
"It's a  process of discovery," Green said. And in Bono's case, "We booked
him because he's a great guy with an  amazing story."


 
 
  

Make your reservations now for the Irish Murder Mystery held at the Oberlin Inn on March 19th 2011.  Cocktails at 6:30, dinner at 7pm. The show begins at 8pm and runs approx 1 1/12 hours. This is the most popular show all year so come early and have fun! 

The singles dance on February 23 ,2011 was huge success with approximately 130 people.  The next one will be March 26th, at 7pm for free dance lessons, hosted by North Coast Dance Party! and then the public dance (singles and couples welcome) with a DJ and cash bar, beginning at 8pm until 12am. Being held at Pipers lll in Broadview Hgts, organized by Jackie Ma.

North Coast Dance Party will begin teaching at the singles dance being held  February 26 2011 from 8:00pm-12:00am at the Pipers lll restaurant in Broadview Heights.  They will have great dancing, a rockin' DJ, karaoke and dance contests!  We will be holding our dance class 45 minutes prior to the dance at pm for 1/2 hour. Join us for a great time! The dances are open to adults suggested age 35 and above. Dressy casual. No jeans,t-shirts shorts,sandals or tennis shoes please.
